Another successful Critical Incident!
Success. That’s such a hackneyed word. Critical Incident was full of life all day and evening and ended with a pretty packed Caffe Moksha as the poetry goddesses (and Charlie and Mike) took to the floor and shared the poetry of freedom. The evening was rounded off by a very well received extract of a new play called Text.
All day the Phoenix Gallery buzzed with the many events exploring freedom, as well as performance and debate. You can see the photo gallery here.
See you next year!
The Lowdown on Critical Incident
This was the 8th Critical Incident, following a very successful Critical Incident Edinburgh 2009. (Gallery here)
A Critical Incident is an event of life-changing significance and it is the aim of this one day happening to provide a space for individuals to experience significant things, leading to personal or organisational change. You can read a more fuller overview and see all past image galleries here.
The theme of the 2010 Critical Incident was “Freedom - real and virtual”. How free are we in the times in which we live? Are we ever free “online”? What is freedom? Has freedom been designed out of mass society. Does having more choice mean we are more free?
Join us next year, 2011 for a day of dialogue, debate, experimentation, workshops, exploration, on and offline at our base at the Phoenix, Brighton as well as other lovely places in the town. Our cafe in residence will, once again, be the marvelous Moksha.
